Hospice North Shore have a number of ‘Op Shops’ on Auckland’s North Shore. An Opportunity Shop is sometimes known as a Charity Shop or Thrift Store depending on where you come from. Donated goods are sold in these shops to raise money for the Hospice. They are staffed mostly by volunteers
The company i work for gives all its employees one paid volunteer day per year and i used mine to spend the day at a couple of Hospice Op Shops taking pictures of goods and some staff for them to use in their advertising and marketing.
it was a different kind of photography for me, but good fun
