My first music shoot of the year was the Mumford and Sons mini-festival in Auckland. The first two supports were Tiny Ruins and Angie McMahon. Photos were shot for Getty Images
My first photography assignment of 2019 was the FOMO By Night festival at Auckland’s Spark Arena. Headline was Nicki Minaj but we weren’t allowed to photograph her. She put on a great show by all accounts though. So meanwhile you can enjoy these shots of Montell2099, San Holo, Kali Uchis, Aminé and Mura Masa. You can see the full set over at Getty Images
We recently took a family holiday to Melbourne. It was my first time visiting the city and it’s fantastic for street photography! Here are a few examples Don’t forget to sign up to one of my street photography workshops in Auckland next year! www.aucklandstreets.com
I got to photo the amazing Twenty One Pilots of Getty Images last night. Ten minutes of on stage chaos made for fun photoing! You can see the official set here. The ones below are re-edits and a few extras! What away to end the year’s photography 🙂
The Church played in Auckland recently as part of their Starfish 30th Anniversary Tour. My shots weren’t quite as dynamic as i would have liked so i’ve had a go at converting them to black and white for something a little different. you can see the original set over at Getty Images here
I had the immense fortune to be able to photo the legendary David Byrne at Spark Arena recently for Getty Images. I wish i could have stayed to watch the show which was amazing by all accounts! The first three songs were fantastic to watch down my lens!
I got to shoot the Vodafone Music Awards for Getty Images recently. Lots of fun on the red carpet, then the show itself.
Trey Songz live at Logan Campbell Centre for Getty Images. I wasn’t sure what to expect for this shoot, but there was a really lovely atmosphere and Trey was great at interacting with the crowd (including the group of people in wheelchairs next to the photo pit who were having an awesome time!)
