I went along to the New Zealand Accordion Society’s South Pacific Championship and Festival this afternoon with my daughter in Auckland. There were some amazing musicians on stage! I couldn’t help myself so i had to take a few pictures with my small camera to record the moment!
I managed to pop along to one of the “You & I experience” sessions at the Auckland library. Joel Vinsen was performing. You may recognise him from my photos of the Ijebu Pleasure Club For my 5 minutes Joel played his guitar with magnets, a fan, a little metal stick and a mobile phone. The soundscape was fantastic but only I (as the individual audience) could hear it. If you get a chance to hear Joel in anything he does, do it!

The Hans Zimmer Revealed tour hit Auckland on Saturday. It was a totally amazing experience. So many awesome local and international musicians on the stage as well as Hans Zimmer himself. I love seeing my photos pop up around the place. So it’s a delight to see a photo I took of Superhero Secondline appear on the World Master’s Games 2017 website as one of their banner images.
