These are images that I used in my 2018 exhibition at the Railway Street Studios as part of the OutThere Collective on the theme of Solitude. I had great fun photoing Makeshift Parachutes last weekend. They are a band i’ve known about for a while but never actually seen live, or photographed, until now. I have to say they were amazing live and you should definitely go and see them if you get a chance. They have such an enthusiastic set of followers too. Definitely one of the highlights of my year so far! Support was from Smokestack Slim and Dual
I really enjoy local band Dual and it was great to photo them again recently when they were supporting Makeshift Parachutes recently. They are another band you should check out!
I had the pleasure of photoing Smokestack Slim when they were supporting Makeshift Parachutes. They were really excellent and well worth investigating further!
Royal Blood were as amazing as you’d hope they would be when they played at Auckland’s Logan Campbell Centre last week. I was lucky enough to be there to take photos for Getty. You can see the full set here
I’ve only ever seen Dictaphone Blues as a solo affair so it was great to see the full band version. So many talented musicians in one tiny stage. There was a great vibe and a friendly crowd. You can see the pictures from Two Cartoons who were supporting here These pictures also appear on UnderTheRadar
After photoing Model Train Wreck I whizzed in to town to catch the end of Two Cartoons who were supporting Dictaphone Blues at Panhead Viaduct. If you’ve not come across this band i highly recommend you check them out. Lots of fun and great tunes This set of images is also available over at UnderTheRadar
