i’ve been a massive fan of the Jesus and Mary Chain since i was 15, even playing their song April Skies (badly) on a piano for a school exam. i passed the exam somehow, and nearly 30 years later i was standing in front of the composer taking photos! they were in auckland to play Pyschocandy, their debut album in full and it was excellent. you can see my set of images on cheeseontoast here
